STRATA LUBE™ is a catalyzed liquid friction reducer, comprised of a blend of ester. STRATA-LUBE™ is used primarily in downhole drilling applications where problems associated with torque, dragging and horizontal sliding inability exist. STRATA-LUBE™ is compatible with other synthetic oils that may be present, or added to the mud system. STRATA-LUBE™ can be used in conjunction with STRATA-SCM® to enhance the sealing capacity of the mud, along with lubricity and general filter cake quality enhancement. Additional coupler should be mixed into a mud which contains both STRATA-LUBE™ and STRATA-TROL®.
TREATMENT RECOMMENDATION

  • Systems treatments are recommended in a range of 1.0% to 2.0%.
  • Batch pill formulations, for optimized lubricity, range from 3.0% to 8.0%, depending on the degree of problems encountered.
Batch pill sweeps, for enhanced horizontal motor sliding, range from 3.0% to 15.0%, and may be mixed in the drilling mud or drill water, then swept through the wellbore as necessary.
